Yes, I Have Been Missing For A Few Weeks
Where I Have Been...And Where I Am Going Now...Hopefully
Where have I been? Mostly curled up with our stray cat in our recliner, waiting. Like a body infected with a virus, waiting for my ‘normal functions’ to cease and for my body to rise up of its own volition, chanting ‘brains, brains…” Or at least that is how I have felt.
I have actually been sat in the recliner with our stray cat who is rehabbing us, erm, that we are fostering into a healthy loving house cat (I think I said it more correctly in the first place.)
If you would like to read up on why, here is the post on my blog: Chat About Our Past Week.
Since that post, I haven’t done much of anything, other than lament the fact that I lack the mental capacity and the physical energy to write or schedule or publish. I haven’t even bothered doing that much planning. Why bother with planning if I know I have no desire to get up and do anything?
That also moved into me having some sort of malaise-like bug. Not a cold. Not the flu. Just a general malaise that overcame my whole better and made me feel horrible for a few days. It was different than my typical malaise that is more CF or fibro related. So. I have no idea.
I know I have been sleeping far too much and still not enough…so go figure.
Now that we have that out of the way, let’s see what will happen in my world in February.
We celebrate Imbolc, Candlemas, and Groundhog Day. As well as my husband’s birthday (Aquarius) and my own birthday (Pisces). Valentine’s Day is in there too. For both Valentine’s Day (usually) and for my birthday (my request), my husband typically cooks me an amazing meal.
If you know of any interesting, silly or regional ‘holidays"‘, please let me know. For example, February 7 is Periodic Table Day—that sort of thing.
I walked into January thinking I had my plans altogether and ready to go…and here we are, nearly February, and I am still wondering what the heck is going on. I have so much to do.
Now, going through my monthly goals list for January, I did complete a number of my partially completed online classes—and even one I only started in January...and I did very well in every single class. That feels amazing. especially since I have been lackadaisically meandering through these classes for about two years now. (My classes are all at my own pace; there is no penalty for my procrastination, thank goodness.)
I have also been painting more. I have not completed any of my canvas pieces, but completion was not my point. Painting was my point. Painting is what I am doing.
If you look at my blog here, you will see that I have added a new page: Coming Soon: Craft Fair. Now, as I say this, please know that this is not a ‘coming in one week’ or ‘coming in a month’ sort of thing. What I am planning to do is start making things, revamp old knitting and crochet patterns, and put my mother’s crocheted C2C blankets and her jewelry up there for sale. It will take time for me to begin to add things, but the plan is set up and in place. As I start the process of adding things, I will keep you updated.
This week, I will be putting out three newsletters, today, Wednesday and Friday. To compensate for the past two weeks where I missed putting anything out.
Thank you for sticking around as we go through this turbulence and upheaval on the way to bigger and better things.
